Southern Oaks Special Events Facility is a "turn-of-the-century" house along picturesque Jeff Davis Drive, in Fayetteville, Georgia.
 
With it's hardwood floors, high ceilings, and soft color pallet, it has been meticulously restored by the owners to retain the elegance and charm of by-gone days.
 
Southern Oaks is a perfect location for weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners, tea parties, birthday parties, meetings, dances--or any occasion where old-fashioned charm and elegant atmosphere are desired.  And because we also offer children's parties, kids are always welcomed!

If you desire an intimate inside ceremony and reception, or a charming outdoor ceremony in our beautiful gazebo, with your reception under a spacious tent,
Southern Oaks will make your dreams come true!

The beautiful gazebo provides a picturesque setting for your outdoor ceremony and photos, with room for up to 200 seated guests.  It sits amid hundred-year-old oak trees in a beautiful yet natural setting.  

The owner of Southern Oaks also offes Victorian themed bridal teas (costumes provided), baby showers, children's dress-up parties, and more!

We had a beautiful sunset Wedding at the beach and the following week-end we had the most wonderful Reception at Southern Oaks. Michelle Cox,(Owner) and Tamiko Washington, Wedding Specialist) did an excellent job with helping me plan our Reception. They made my beach theme come to life with their decorating talents. It was my dream come true to have my beach Wedding and my Reception at Southern Oaks. Michelle recommended the best Catering Services. The food and decorations were out- standing. Southern Oaks is so Unique and the grounds are so beautiful. My photographer made 450 photographs at our Reception. I would re- commend Southern Oaks for any special event. It was truly a wonderful experience for me and I will cherish the memories forever. Thank you Michelle and Tamiko for everything you did to make our day so wonderful. Loretta & Jack

I want to express my highest praise and appreciation to Southern Oaks Events and to Michele Cox(owner) for a birthday celebration my Dad will never forget. I chose Southern Oaks for my Dad's 80th birthday party because I was very familiar with their superior quality. They were the site of my son's wedding in 2005. The grounds and home are filled with southern charm and Michele is a true southern lady. The customer service was excellent. She listened to my ideas. She handled everything with promptness and was very detailed oriented. She left nothing undone. She thought of things I had forgotten. She treated the event as if it were her own. She knew how important it was to me. This is so unlike most places where you are just another party. The atmosphere in the home was cozy, warm and inviting. It was a wonderful site for a private party and the memories will last a lifetime. Thank you Southern Oaks for this wonderful experience.

I was the caterer for an 80th birthday party held at Southern Oaks and having done catering at many different event venues I was thrilled with the accommodations at Southern Oaks. Michelle, the owner, was present and very gracious. The buffet line, tables and drink stations were decorated beautifully and she was more than helpful in my set-up and service process. I'll be looking forward to working with Michelle again and doing many more catered events for her clients. Thanks for such a beautiful venue and a very pleasant experience! We had a wonderful time. Beautiful venue. Michelle Cox (owner) and Tomiko Washington (wedding planner) were absolutely outstanding! I heard several guests comments on how they would contact Tomiko to plan their upcoming event. If I had to say something to critic the venue, it would be the catering was a little below average. We had a sit down dinner, 4 oz. beef tenderloin, 4 oz. pecan crusted chicken served with classic risotto and asparagus spears for the entrée, also included were dinner salads and hors d'oeuvres. Needless to say, a lot of money went into the catering. Only a handful of people approached us after the event to inform us that the food was less than desirable. My plate was fabulous, but disappointing to have guests approach you with such comments. I would consider this venue in the future and recommend friends and family members to Southern Oaks. Thank you for such a beautiful day and making it such a pleasure from beginning to end!! Glenn and Brandie Summerlin
